I have seen and heard the news about the tragic events that has brought typhoon Ondoy to my country, Philippines. I deeply felt the lost of the lives of my countrymen. Indeed, we can't turn the hands of time to safely rescue all the people from this natural phenomenon. All happen unexpectedly and the cause is inevitable. The only solid evidence for us to muster our faith is through PRAYERS.
Seeing these pictures in the Internet. Residents stand on beams to stay on high ground while other people are evacuated by government workers during flooding caused by Typhoon Ondoy in Cainta Rizal, east of Manila. Residents and rescuers carry a body which was recovered from the riverbanks in Marikina city. Happily, there are people who help Filipinos in this tragic incident. The American Mormon Missionary Elder Neil Sibley, right, from Mesa, Ariz., helps clean out a house in suburban Marikina city.
Indeed, typhoon Ondoy chooses no one. That is why, I felt in sorrow that until now many were still missing and lots of lives of my countrymen were lost. In fact, the government needs the help from all sectors in and out of the country to help Filipinos rebuild their homes and to secure the lives that has been wasted especially that their livelihood were affected.
Lord, please help save the Philippines.
