Internet Connection Interruption: Great Diversion

Internet has been a part now of many lives and of course, of my life. I am one of those people who are head over heels of using Internet. Why? because of the widest, largest and gigantic happiness it brings to people and me, being a part of it, Internet shares more of my life. I can be able to connect with people - chat with my friends and families, update my profile, read news and see the latest trends in fashion, home, etc. and my love, writing my ideas in this blog. That I find pleasures of using the Internet. But there are those times that I encounter Internet problems of losing connection. I take patience of waiting until it will be back. How do I heal myself when there is an Internet problem.

1. Patience is a must.

Just like people who are interrupted with problems, Internet connection too really does. It sometimes loses grip. But I am not losing hold of waiting for the connection to be back. I am just so patient to understand things that problems like interruptions are not in our control. So I understand.

2. Find pleasure doing other alternatives.

I listen to my favorite music on the radio or I play the CD. I sing at the top of my lungs just to ease the feeling of "frustration" of not being able to expect that Internet connection lose its signal. I also watch vidoes of my favorite film or read books of my favorite authors.

3. I exercise even more.

This gives me ample time to exercise. The interruption of losing Internet contact paves me to exert more force and burn more fats because I have all the time of myself. That is also the kind of emotional release.

Doing these activities amuses my mind and it releases the negative energies that is accummulatingly manifested on me as I build to conceptualize the lose of Internet connection until the signal goes back.

This form of energy release is the relaxation that I find, a great diversion that whenever there is a problem, I stand happy and positive.

Dreams take me to the path that I want to 100% grasps the moment of once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of making things in a wide scope of attaining them.

I thought that I can't be able to attain what I really wanted in life. Once in a while I will move forward and go through the tide where my dreams will be fulfilled and realized.

My baby David is now growing and this I think that I will do anything for him. It is not easy to cope with all the finances. The food, shelter, clothing and the bills. My David is turning 1 this February 15. And this means that while he is growing, he needs more cash while we, my husband and I sustain to give everything for him.

That is why, I never lose hope. I will pursue my dreams to be a nurse. I will be in school, taking nursing course. This is for David and my family. I know that while David is growing, we need more cash to sustain all his needs. I know that I can be able to make it.

It is my big responsibility to support and give everything that my baby David needs. Out from the great love that we give to him, we need to further give him all the best in life, his education and his needs.

Indeed, I become mature to face life. I thought that life is like those days that I was dependent of my parents. Now, I am a parent, this realizes me that it is all about securing for my family, for everyone that I do connect.

Now, I have realized why my parents before are that hardworking in order for us 4 to survive. I now realized how they work hard for us to live and have the best education that we have. I know that they are that busy and tired, but still they never give up so that they could bring delicious food on the table everyday. I now realize to be a mother, to be a good wife and a loving mother to my husband and child.

Life is full of mystery. Now, I am always thinking what is next and how can I help my family.

It feels so good that my little David is loved by numerous people, my friends and family and even those persons who we don't know, those acquaintances in the streets or the outside home.

My David is like a star. No matter where I go, people are attracted to him and they complement my boy as cute and formal. And being his mother, I am proud of that that my little baby David is being loved by many people.

I was awaken by the call of my friend this morning. She told me about the huge sale in town. She convinced me to wake up immediately for us to transport to the mall. And there I am, almost feeling sleepy, but forcing myself to wake up for the said "happenings" to jive and get involved with the so-called "celebration".

As we are standing and forming lines, lots of people from various places catch up the juice of shopping. As the guard is telling us that in about a minute, the mall will be opened, people are marking faces as if they are in a race. They are positioning with vigor in facing the open door and quickly posed for readiness. I was like in the sleepy moment. Draggingly pushing my feet to stride steps and my friend is like, "Hurry! Hurry! We will be late to get discounted stuff!" And I was like, "Okay, okay!"

Getting inside the mall, the people took huge steps to go directly to the places they wanted to be in. As if they already know what stuff that grably purchased. Others are murmuring. Others are enjoying and many are smiling, laughing and are very excited.

But as soon as we reached the baby's toys store, I was making such a sluggish gesture, but when I saw that the books for children are on sale. My eyes are bulging and I did not hesitate to buy a dozen of its sets. It is just $12. Then, that motivates my senses to fully awake.

I selected stuff for my baby and fortunately, I was able to buy them cheaper. It is like 25%, 50% or even 75% discount. I love this life. I was able to buy more for my baby and for my husband. I was able to purchase more household items and my favorite, dresses and dresses.

Good thing that my friend called me. I was able to enjoy the worth of the Thanksgiving Day. I have prepared a small celebration for us family to enjoy this day.

Now I know that indeed that is why, it is obviously a Thanksgiving Day!

It seems that this day brings out the feel for all the people in the world.

As I turned the television this early morning, I have realized that almost all the countries in the world are preparing for this day. Then, I have asked, "What is with this day indeed?"

Maybe for some who are that sentimentally would "feel" this day as something extraordinary, they would probably make this day not an ordinary one but they would prefer to make this day like extraordinarily different. No wonder they are always on the busy of making this very day like a Christmas Eve or a July 4th Day. I probably would say that almost all the people are busily doing that makes this day a busy and more significant one.

I have seen numerous people are going to the store to catch up for the celebration and they are buying all sorts of food in cans and in other varieties. Others are busily selecting clothes and fit them. Many went to the churches to pray. But there are still others who make this day as like an ordinary one. They just don't care or they do care but they don't just want to make this day as the main highlight of the month.

Then, I have asked myself, "What is with this day then?" And that is the moment that I am feeling it. That is the time that I do go to church. That is the moment that I do prepare something in the table for my family. But I do still feel that this day is just like an old, ordinary day. What I did...I invited my friend to be at home, but unfortunately they are busy with their works. I decided to have this day with my husband and my baby David. All are well. We are glad. We eat and drink. We talk and laugh. Maybe the spirit for this day makes me feel to "feel" what really is this day.

I’ve been home for a couple of weeks now and I have been cleaning the entire time. People who know me well know that I clean a lot. My grandmother calls me the white tornado. I clean not because I’m a clean person, but because I’m a very messy person. I can perfectly function in a room with mounds of papers and clothes and expensive electronics. Last week my sister Rebekah was in my room and she was completely in awe of how much stuff was on my bed. Books, cookware, craft supplies, and clothing were spread out all over (as they had been for days), and I didn’t think twice about moving them before burrowing in and falling asleep in my nest each night. I might be the only one of my friends and family who is capable of living this way, and I know you most likely find it repulsive, but I’m okay with that. One of my favorite things to do to make me clean up when my room is a mess is to watcher Hoarders on Direct Tv. If my mess isn’t inspirational enough, the people on Hoarders are sure to make me ready to get organized. I have to take that show in small doses, because if I watch too much, I’ll end up with anxiety.

I often feel the need not to eat because I just feel that I don't like to eat. In a day, I don't go into eating heavy meal. I just have to take little food intake like I have to eat just 2 pieces of bread and drink coffee.

I have noticed that since I am here in Texas, I don't want to eat much. It seems like the weather prompts me to take less food. It seems that my eating habit has been lost. I am afraid to eat more and more. I don't want to eat much, but it seems like I am not feeling this kind of thing.

I don't know but it seems like I am in anorexia. I hope that I can be able to find the right appetite that could invite me to eat and eat so that I can be able to gain weight.

As I have watched the main highlight in the news today, I am really in shocked because of the presentor's main presentation in a public view with those pants down. It seems disgusting. And being Paula Abdul, of course, the initial reaction would always mean something not good because of the public immorality that the presentor is showing to the public. Furthermore, not all individuals have that capacity to understand the show as "X Factor" because of the said person that really showed the X?!?

I don't really understand why this person came out with such kind of presentation. Maybe as what I have think that he is thinking that to amuse the audience, he should do something "stupid". Sorry for the word but that is how I view it.

Come to think of it. The show is live. No one expected that the result would be such a kind that truly ruins the whole scenario. It is quite awkward to go into dealing with the kind of a show that is really famous but the feel of making it live is not that lively at all as this guy is revealing another meaning of what he feel would be beneficial for him or for the audience to be amused. I can't decipher to think what this wannabe want to portray to all after all.

I am sending this card to my teacher which is living in the eastern country in the side of the Philippines. I will surprise her of this card and I will send it ahead of time, probably in November of the 2nd week so that it will reach to her on the day of the Christmas time.

I can't forget my favorite teacher in English. She is the one who taught me everything from writing, reading and speaking. She is my ever favorite teacher. That is why, on this nearly approaching Christmas day, I will surprise her with this Christmas card.

The weather is finally starting to get warmer. I've basically put my heavy winter jacket away and have started wearing a light coat when I go out and to run errands. The weather has already got me fantasizing about summer and spring, and I cannot wait for warmer weather to come! I am an avid beach camper, and waiting for the winter is really hard for me. One of the things I love most is traveling to the coast and finding a good spot to setup and tent by the ocean. I usually find a state park. I think that's the best way to go to the beach. Staying at resorts is nice too, but the experience is much different. It always goes my soul some good to go camping.

This week, I need to call the sears cabinet refacing Sumter people and then stop by the house. After that, I am going to take the wife and kids someplace for a nice little vacation. This time, I might actually go to a resort since it's a little colder...but for sure, it won't be long now till we go camping again.

Basing from what they have said and uttered, their profession and the way they are, they are not cruel. They live in a harmonious life that is free from wars and fighting. It is just that because they are bin Laden, they are not excused from all sorts of news and speculations from different minds, who in the person of Osama bin Laden has brought their names in somewhat-like stirring the minds of many, if they are that trustful or not.

On my part, I feel really sorry for them because they are nice persons. They are not like Osama. But their last names and as part of bin Laden, they are somewhat walking around the world unsecured and fearful because the people always bring more questions about the acts of Osama and they would probably think that they are like Osama.

Well, it happens to everyone. If someone in the family does something bad, it ends up being sent through the whole family and everyone with the last name.

I hope the world is not that judgmental. But I do understand that people react in the manner of bringing doubts everytime they hear the name bin Laden because of its notorious acts that brought destruction to the world. But I know that all of this will pass and I know pretty well that those bin Laden family, especially those names mentioned above are peace-loving individuals. It is just they are bringing in the tide of wind that cause one big speculation from the cause of just one person.
I think the world is not that close-minded enough to them because there are those people who are having deeper understanding and trust to them.

I do quite not like the video that I have seen first about that second single of Lady Gaga’s “Judas” because it demoralizes the image of Christianity. I am a Christian Catholic but the way Lady Gaga’s interpretation of making that video is really an insult because it is not good and it doesn’t show respect for us people who are Catholics. If she wants to market huge sales of her album, I think she would do more on the realistic factor and not making joke and nonsense interpretations of the song which involved Jesus and God’s life in a wrong manner. It is really ridiculous and disgusting. If Lady Gaga always connotes to be unique, she should not demoralize what is moral. Now, there is always that sure fire that she is the one causing her misfortunes.

Being Lady Gaga should not always imply into destroying the morals of the beliefs of the people because she is a person, a temple of God. It is not cool and intelligent to do such video that tries to make conflict with us, Catholic believers of her. Being Lady Gaga should not always mean that she is really born that wild, that way the she is stepping into the rights of every Catholic. She should have shown some respect and morals. The song can be modified in a way of not harming conflicts among common beliefs because in the first place, what she does is not good in the eyes of the Lord. And for me, as Catholic, she showed no respect.

For me, maybe Lady Gaga’s interpretation of “Born to be Wild” is totally that type who doesn’t show respect to cultures and races. I see her as brilliantly intelligent in music but it is my first time that I was so discouraged of what she is doing.

It centers on man and woman who are capable of producing kids which captures to form a family and that I find the essence of marriage. But for me, same-sex marriage is not in accordance with what is proper and just. It is against the will of God and it is against the minds of many.
I don’t know why there are still organizations that are supporting this kind of malicious acts which I find it irrelevant to the sense of family life and marriage. I can still grasp why there are still those who until now are maneuvering to dwell in this kind of state which in fact, there are many things that need to be settled and morally take into being.

There have been speculations and there is no fixed cessation about this matter. Is the world more on the side of making things immoral for everyone and for the next generation?

Dan Abrams: I was hired to write a light article for a magazine about certain areas that women are better in than men. But only recently has there been enough time to look back to compare men versus women and only recently has there been real interest.

Shine: Which gender is leading these studies?
D.A.: Of the studies I looked at, a vast majority of lead researchers are men, but the broad trend trackers are women.

Shine: What finding surprised you the most?
D.A.: I was most surprised at how conclusive the evidence was for the fact that women tolerate pain better. They endure more pain throughout their lives, in more bodily areas and with greater frequency, according to researchers at the University of Bath. According to the medical journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, women have an average of 34 more nerve fibers per square centimeter of facial skin, while men have an average of 17. New research is suggesting the fact that women tend to endure pain more makes them more immune to it. It’s the old aphorism, “That which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger.”

Shine: Are women really better at tasting beer?
D.A.: The evidence is clear that women have a better sense of smell. In one study, researchers questioned whether men or women be better able to smell sweat behind fragrances, and women were fooled far less. But also they have a better sense of taste, and can apply it to just about anything. Taste is based on smell, as well as the number of taste buds a person has, and women are more likely to have a greater number of more-sensitive taste buds. And it’s not just beer that they’re better at tasting, but wine as well.

Shine: What about sports—men are better at sports, right?
D.A.: There’s no question that men have larger muscles, so they tend to be better at most sports. But there are certain areas—particularly endurance sports—where women are better. Studies show that estrogen is a disadvantage for muscle development but an advantage when it comes to endurance. Another advantage for women is that their bodies more efficiently process oxygen. When it comes to ultra-marathons—say, a 135 mile race without sleep—women can beat men. It’s reflective of something we see throughout the book— when it comes to race of life, women won’t sprint but they'll run longer. In baseball terms, men may hit the home run but women hit the singles and doubles more often and end up with a better average. This is true in financial fields as well: women are better long-term investors.

Shine: It makes sense that women are hard-wired for endurance, considering another chapter in the book entitled, “Women Live Longer.”
D.A.: Women live an average of five years longer than men. The reasons for this are both genetic and behavior-based. First of all, women have stronger immune systems, again due to estrogen which aids the fight against disease-inducing enzymes. But women are also less likely to engage in risky behavior. For example, I found that women are hit by lightning less often than men. That’s because the guy may not get off the roof when there’s a thunderstorm coming.

Shine: Does the same theory apply to women being safer drivers?
D.A.: Men are more likely to engage in reckless behavior, like driving drunk. One study found male drivers have 77 percent higher risk of dying in a car accident than women. It’s translated to insurance rates, women have 7 percent lower rates on the whole because they’re less careless drivers. In Australia, they actually petitioned to have more women bus drivers, because they found they’re more likely to treat buses better and have fewer accidents.

Shine: Bus drivers aren’t the only jobs women excel at, according to your research. What other jobs are women better at than men?
D.A.: Women were found to be less corruptible as cops. In both Lima, Peru and Volgograd, Russia where police corruption was a major issue, the governments campaigned to hire more women cops. There’s another study that women are more effective as political leaders than men. It suggests, we’d be a better country if there were more women in the highest echelons of politics.

Shine: In the field of medicine, the findings are also in favor of women.
D.A.: One of the most definitive studies in the book was done in 2009 by the British government. They collected a database of information on all the investigations of medical misconduct or incompetence over a period of eight years. It was the largest study of medical performance ever. They found that while forty percent of doctors were women, 80 percent of those under investigation were men. In the U.S., there were similar findings. Male physicians were twice as likely to be sued as women.

Shine: With all this counter-evidence, why are women still subjected to the same old stereotypes?
D.A.: Women weren’t allowed to vote in this country 100 years ago. We’re still in the period of catch up. We still haven’t had a female president, or that many women running Fortune 500 companies. When we get to point of seeing just as many women in the top levels of every profession, that's when we'll see a sea change at lower levels.

Shine: How is the internet giving women more of an advantage?
D.A.: One of the clichés about women is that they’re more communicative—those who want to demean women say they like to gossip more. That’s a pejorative way of commenting on the fact that women are more involved in social media. A 2010 study found women were six percent more exposed to social networking sites and spent more time on them. Other research found women were less likely to be victims of internet fraud.

Shine: Are you worried about backlash from men?
D.A.: I already had one men’s rights group send a petition to get me fired from my job. They wrote, “Dan Abrams is penning a sexist book claiming male inferiority.” But this book is not about my musings or opinions. This is me approaching the topic like a lawyer. Is there some hyperbole in the headline? Sure, but the reality is the trends here are significant and important. The goal of this book is not be viewed as a feminist book but an objective book. Someone with no bias is examining the evidence and coming forth to say it’s compelling. I’ll get mocked by many men, but a woman who made the same findings would be discounted for writing this book because of her bias.

Shine: You've provided a lot of evidence that women are better at some of life's most important tasks. What are men better at?
D.A.: Men are better at parking, they’re better dieters, they have better distance vision, they read maps better. One study suggests they even treat their friends better. But my next book won’t be about making the case for men. Overall I found that men’s biggest problem is that they’re too confident and women’s biggest problem is that they’re not confident enough. Truth is, I think the evidence is overwhelming in favor of women.
